Paperlessphd

After viewing this blog "paperlessphd" I m more content with the path I'll take. It is like having a friend to walk by my side throughout my own phd journey. I'm looking forward to a productive year ahead, 2013 should be a good year. Allah will be my constant guide, guiding my conscience and instinct.

So, I have decided to install Mandeley instead of Endnote X6. And install Dropbox in my new Asus Zenbook Prime :). Will write about that new ultrabook very soon.

Darussyifa' Bangi

I sense queer feelings, suspicions towards paranormal influence... something is not right about "her", a close relative. True enough, when she opens up, she told me about weird incidence among others is continuous nightmare. So in my attempt to help her, I search for the information on Darussyifa' Bangi. According to feedbacks from Malaysian forumers, one would have to be there in Bangi as early as 3 am in the morning if really wish to see THE MAN himself. I have great respect for him because of his gentleman manner that is parallel to the muslim man identity. Otherwise, one can also seek help from his disciples. Others who have experienced getting their help expressed their mutual satisfaction either being treated by the master or the disciples.

Should I go as far as Bangi to get help? Maybe no because there are nearby branches of Darussyifa'. That, also depends on the willingness of "the patient". Sometimes, in cases of mysterious illness, it is the patient who often gives excuses so as not to be treated.

Doa Terang Hati

I've been wanting to see this lady, to get some recipes of her success. Today, she called and we discussed about our families and career and then she shared her rituals...

1. Must perform dhuha daily and in the last sujud read this dua 3 times

2. Take time to make my own air penawar/ air penerang hati for myself and my children by just putting a bottle of air zamzam next to sejadah and everytime after prayers, recite Surah Yaasin or Ayatul Qursi, and Surah Ikhlas etc because pure water like air zamzam is the best medium to nourish our body and soul. I should learn to talk to Allah swt beacuse customize dua from the bottom of my heart will be the best weapon as a muslim. 5 times a day, because if I want to have Allah as my constant support, I must always remember Him as well.

3. These are for my beloved children; Surah Al Furqan verse 74 = to have our children''s contentment, similar to Surah Taha verse 1-5= to have their obedience. Then, Surah Ibrahim verse 40-41 = istiqamah in solat and doing other good deeds,

4. Always recite Al Baqarah verse 32

which means "They said: "Glory to Thee, of knowledge We have none, save what Thou Hast taught us: In truth it is Thou Who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom."" and the translation is here " Malaikat itu menjawab: "Maha Suci Engkau (Ya Allah)! Kami tidak mempunyai pengetahuan selain dari apa yang Engkau ajarkan kepada kami sesungguhnya Engkau jualah Yang Maha Mengetahui, lagi Maha Bijaksana". I like the translation by Prime Minister's office best, (pmo.gov.my). Easier for me to understand.

This is a strong reminder of my position when I was infront of Baitullah. I know that I'm going on a journey where others have not tread the path before, thus, only Allah can help me. All that I'm I'm asking for is a small portion in the body of knowledge which Allah want me to have. Not just what I want to have but what Allah have planned for me. Ya Allah, lead me to that path.

Dalam pada mencari ilmu akhirat ini, saya juga tertarik dengan petikan ini dari kongaji.tripod "Pelopor Filsafat Modern, yaitu Emmanuel Kant,... pernah berkata : "Betapapun kemajuan saya dalam berpikir, namun saya mengosongkan sesudut dari jiwa saya buat percaya '" Seperti dalam kes mukjizat para nabi, eg, Nabi Ibrahim yg tidahk hangus terbakar. Tiada penjelasan, percaya sajalah.

Doa Permudah Urusan

Ada ketikanya kita hanyut dengan permasaalahan kerja, satu demi satu muncul, diselang seli dengan keasyikan hal-hal peribadi. Maka, eloklah disentap seketika dari waktu hidup kita untuk berdoa, dan doa yg amat ringkas tapi penuh makna adalah...

"Rabbi yassir wala tu 'assir, rabbi tammim bil khoir", yang bermaksud, "Ya Tuhan, permudahkanlah urusanku, permudahkanlah jangan disulitkan".

Ada juga versi panjang iaitu : "Allahumma yassir wala tu'assir. Rabbi tammim bilkhoir. Birokhmatikaya Arhamarrohimin."

Still Vague

I'm still vague.. who are the people behind these 4 groups; 1)anglophile 2)anti Melayu-Islam 3) Materialisti and 4)orang yg tidak mengetahui makna kehidupan dan kejayaan sebenar. Where can I get their rhetorics?

I'm a bit disturbed with another report that concluded the governments act in 1967 to adopt "linguistic assimilation policy" and designated Malay as the national language has failed to meet the objective. In fact this national action that supposed to facilitate racial harmony has fueled ethnic tensions. That is just the tip of an iceberg. There are more claims in the report that really worry me. Don't want to believe it but...

Finding focus

This is about my research. I think I have the area that suits me. English language policy. Why? Because that is the extremely basic knowledge. I see Policy and philosophy as "the truth" as something concrete, and thus, this finding of the research is for everyone's reference, not only for me myself to guide my career life.

I never aim to make everybody happy but when I do something that makes me happy, the others tend to be happy with what I am doing, eventually. Hhmmm... and that is what I aimed for.
